Readings managed to drop into the single numbers in some of the sheltered valleys across the interior. High pressure will build over New England today, then will push offshore tonight. Plenty of sunshine will boost afternoon temperatures into the 20s throughout most of the region. Low pressure moving across southern Canada will track across northern New England Sunday, and swing a cold front through the area late in the day. Snow ahead of this system will spread into the Connecticut valley after midnight, and should reach coastal locations around daybreak Sunday. As milder air is drawn in ahead of the front, snow will change to rain on Cape Cod and the islands. The precipitation will end Sunday evening as the cold front moves offshore, and will be followed by colder weather Monday. === === === ORH Terminal Aerodrome Forecast issued 17-Jan-2004 06:22 EST === 7am: 30022g32kt P6sm Skc 11am: 30015g25kt P6sm Skc 4pm: 28010kt P6sm Sct250 9pm: 25007kt P6sm Bkn120 4am: 24005kt 5sm -sn Br Bkn025 Ovc080 6am: 23006kt 2sm -sn Br Ovc008
