The primary low pressure center will move into the Great Lakes today, then drift along the St Lawrence valley tonight. A secondary low pressure center will develop along the mid Atlantic coast today, moving across southern New England tonight. The two low pressure centers will combine over the Maritimes late Saturday. This will bring a wintery mix of weather to the region today and tonight. Snow developing from west to east this morning will change over to sleet and freezing rain this afternoon. This will continue into tonight over inland sections, while southeast portions see the precipitation become all rain this evening. Snow and sleet accumulations will range from 1 to 3" across the southeast portions, to 2 to 4" across much of the inland areas. A few spots in the foothills of the Berkshires could possibly receive 5 to 6". The ice accumulation from the freezing rain should be a quarter of an inch or less this afternoon and early tonight. High pressure will build into much of the eastern portion of the nation on Sunday. === === === ORH Terminal Aerodrome Forecast issued 6-Feb-2004 06:44 EST === 7am: Vrb03kt 1 1/2sm -sn Bkn012 Bkn019 Ovc028 9am: 10007kt 1sm -sn Br Ovc008 11am: 11008kt 1/2sm Sn Fzfg Vv002 3pm: 12010kt 1/2sm -fzrapl Fzfg Ovc001 10pm: 04008kt 1/4sm Fzrapl Fg Ovc001 4am: 30010kt 1/2sm -ra Fg Ovc001
