Temperatures have been steady all evening. At 11 pm, temperatures were in the 30s region wide, with most inland areas hovering near the freezing mark. Overnight, the warm front to our south will gradually lift northward, keeping a considerable amount of cloudiness over the region with areas of dense fog, pockets of drizzle and freezing drizzle. Temperatures are not expected to fall much further than they are right now. If anything, they are expected to begin a slow climb after midnight. Looking ahead to the weekend, it looks as though southern New England will be near a battleground between cold air entrenched in Canada and much warmer air to our south. A series of low pressure areas will travel along a frontal zone from the Ohio valley to New England, and result in chance of rain Saturday through Sunday. There is a risk of rain changing to snow and sleet across southwest New Hampshire and much of northwest Massachusetts for a time late Saturday night but more likely Sunday night. === ORH Terminal Aerodrome Forecast issued 3-Jan-2004 06:54 EST === 7am: 00000kt 1/4sm -ra Fg Vv001; Tempo 7-9am: 1sm -fzra Br Ovc008 12pm: 21010kt 5sm Br Bkn015 Ovc030 7pm: 22010kt 1/4sm Fg Bkn001 Ovc030 11pm: 21009kt 2sm -ra Br Bkn008 Ovc020 Tempo 1-5am: 1/4sm Fg Bkn001 Ovc018 5am: 27010kt 5sm -ra Br Ovc018
