The clouds kept readings warmer than the past few nights, mainly in the 20s and 30s, except for some teens in southwest New Hampshire. Light rain fell on Nantucket starting around midnight, but had ended just before daybreak. It will remain cloudy today, as weak low pressure passes southeast of New England. Another low will form off the mid Atlantic coast tonight and pass near southeast New England Saturday night. Some light precipitation should overspread the region late tonight, in the form of freezing rain and snow.
