Skies were mostly clear overnight with near calm winds. It was cool this morning with low temperatures in the mid 20s to mid 30s. High pressure offshore of New England will provide the region with a return southeasterly wind flow today. Under mostly sunny skies, high temperatures this afternoon will rise to above seasonal normals, with readings in the mid 50s to lower 60s across the interior. Along coastal locations however, it will be cooler due to seabreezes. Low pressure will move north over the Great Lakes tonight, meanwhile a warm front will approach southern New England from the south. Clouds will advance over the region from the west tonight as fog develops over the south coast. The warm front will lift slowly north Saturday as a cold front approaches from the west. Scattered showers will develop Saturday afternoon and continue through Sunday. Thunderstorms could also accompany the showers Saturday night as the front stalls over New England. By Sunday night the soggy system will head northeast, but in its wake the atmosphere will cool allowing for scattered snow showers, mainly across the interior. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were clear.
