During the predawn hours, frigid temperatures ranged from minus 20° at Orange Massachusetts, to 10° across Cape Cod and only 2 above at Boston. In addition, a northwest wind of 10 to 20 mph was creating dangerous wind chills of minus 10 to minus 20 early this morning. High pressure centered from Quebec southward to the mid Atlantic states, will crest over the region today. This will provide the area with partly to mostly sunny skies. Despite the sunshine, temperatures will only climb into the upper teens and lower 20s this afternoon. Although, wind chills will not be a factor today, as west to northwest winds ease to 5 to 15 mph. Skies will become mostly cloudy tonight. There is a chance of light snow towards daybreak. It will not be nearly as cold with lows generally in the teens, except single numbers across the sheltered valleys to the lower 20s along south coastal locations. Cloudy skies will dominate Wednesday as a cold front approaches from the west. There is a continued chance of light snow, becoming mixed with light rain in the afternoon along south coastal locations. Temperatures will remain in the 20s inland, but rise into the 30s along south coastal New England. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 08:54 AM EST was: === The skies were clear.
