Skies were mostly clear except across extreme southeast New England where clouds had increased. Low temperatures ranged as cold as minus 15° across the sheltered snow covered valleys of southern New Hampshire, to the lower 20s along exposed shoreline locations of Cape Cod and the islands. High pressure will remain in control across southern New England today. Meanwhile low pressure will continue to develop across the southeastern United States. A light onshore flow will be responsible for clouds remaining along coastal sections. Otherwise expect sunshine to prevail. It will become slightly milder with highs in the 20s inland to the lower 30s along the coast. Clouds will gradually increase tonight as low pressure forms off the North Carolina coast. Lows will range from the single numbers across the sheltered valleys to around 30 along exposed shoreline locations of southeast New England. Expect some snow to develop by midday Friday across southeast New England. The snow will taper off Friday night. Otherwise it will remain mostly cloudy across the region. Highs will generally be in the 30s. The low will head out to sea Friday night leaving weak high pressure in its wake on Saturday. A strong cold front will cross the Great Lakes Sunday with secondary low pressure forming across the mid Atlantic states. Expect seasonably cold temperatures this weekend. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were unobserved.
