Temperatures at 5 am were in the mid to upper teens inland to the mid to upper 20s along the south coast. By sunrise, skies will be sunny across the entire region. By afternoon, though, skies will become mostly cloudy. It will become blustery as northwest winds increase to 15 to 20 mph with some higher gusts. Temperatures will only top off in the 20s to near 30. As high pressure slowly moves across the region tonight through Thursday, some clouds will pass over the area but it will remain dry. Temperatures will remain below normal for late February, with lows from 10 below to 10 above and highs in the 20s. Clouds will be on the increase during Thursday as low pressure forms off the North Carolina coast. There will be a chance of snow during the afternoon on the south coast.
