These clouds acted like a blanket, holding temperatures in the mid to upper 20s. Across much of western New England, the skies cleared and allowed temperatures to fall into the lower and mid teens. Any sunshine this morning, should fade behind increasing high and mid level clouds this afternoon, as a cold front moves east from the Great Lakes. Out ahead of this front, southwest winds will bring milder temperatures to our region, with highs reaching the mid 30s to lower 40s. The cold front will move across New England tonight, and could produce a few flurries, mainly across the interior. Temperatures tonight will seasonable with lows in the teen inland and lower and mid 20s at the coast. High pressure building across the northeast will result in pleasant weather Thursday into Friday with plenty of sunshine.
