In some locations the visibility was below one half mile. Temperatures early this morning were in the upper 20s well inland and in the 30s elsewhere. The fog and low clouds will persist early this morning, but should break up and give way to increasing amounts of sunshine this afternoon. A large high pressure system across Hudson Bay Canada, will build southeast across New England over the next couple of days. North to northeast winds will result in cooler temps than we have seen the past couple of days. Highs this afternoon will be in the lower to mid 40s along the east coast of Massachusetts, and in the upper 40s to mid 50s elsewhere. With high pressure in control of our weather, clear skies can be expected tonight and plenty of sunshine is forecast for Wednesday. Lows tonight will be in the teens and 20s and highs Wednesday will be in the upper 30s to mid 40s, which is a few degrees below normal. While temperatures are expected to warm up a bit on Thursday, general weather conditions are going to steadily deteriorate. As the Canadian high departs the area Thursday morning, a large and deep low pressure system coming together over the southern Rockies will be heading our way, bringing precipitation to southern New England Thursday night. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were clear.
