Readings fell to near 20 along the immediate coast. High pressure south of New England will move offshore today. Clouds will increase this afternoon, ahead of a cold front which will reach the Great Lakes tonight. As the front approaches southern New England Wednesday, it will bring an increasing southwest wind and milder air to the region, as well as a few showers. It may even be cold enough in the interior Wednesday morning for a few snow showers. The cold front will cross southern New England Wednesday evening, then a strong high pressure center will build over southern Canada. At the same time, low pressure over the mid Atlantic states is forecast to move off the coast, and pass well south of New England Thursday. Locations south of the Mass Pike will be on the northern fringes of this system Thursday, and should be brushed with some snow.
