Skies were clear across most of southern New England this morning.
Temperatures ranged from the single digits in sheltered valleys and along the
hill tops, to near 20° across Cape Cod and the islands. High pressure over the
midwest states is expected to build toward southern New England today and
tonight. Meanwhile, a low pressure moving east across Quebec province in
Canada should bring some clouds to southern New England later today. As the
air is quite dry, no precipitation is forecast today. The strong arctic high
pressure will control our weather tonight into Tuesday. Warmer air will filter
back into the region on Tuesday as the high slips off the mid Atlantic coast
and our winds shift southwest.
