Light rain fell across Boston and Hartford while light snow fell on southern New Hampshire and the northern tier of Massachusetts. Temperatures early this morning ranged from the mid 20s in southern New Hampshire to the mid 40s along the south coast. The area of low pressure that brought us the mixture of precipitation was, early this morning, moving from Rhode Island to Cape Cod. This disturbance will move offshore this morning and out to sea by afternoon. For us, that means an end to any precipitation this morning followed by increasing sunshine. However, temperatures will remain steady this morning, then fall into the 20s and lower 30s during the afternoon. One constant through this week has been the passage of disturbances late each night bringing precipitation. Tonight will be no exception. Low pressure over the northern Great Lakes will swing across New England tonight bringing a chance of snow showers. High pressure will then build in for the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be sunny, dry, and cold with most of New England remaining below freezing even at the warmest part of the day. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were clear.
