This time, however, there was more of a mix to the precipitation. Light rain was reported across much of Connecticut, Rhode Island, and southeast Massachusetts. Meanwhile snow was reported around Boston, and in areas along and north of the Massachusetts turnpike. Temperatures in the early morning ranged from the mid 20s in southern New Hampshire to around 40 along the south coast. An area of low pressure moving across southern New England this morning will move offshore by afternoon. The rain and snow associated with this low will move out of the region during the morning. There will be some breaks in the clouds during the afternoon, but temperatures will linger in the 30s and lower 40s. As the low pressure moves out to sea, it will swing a cold front through southern New England tonight. This will bring another period of flurries and scattered snow showers tonight. Most places will just see a dusting. A few spots may get up to an inch in any snow showers. A third area of low pressure will swing through New England Friday night, bringing yet another chance of light snow during yet another night. The temperature trend will be toward colder readings for the remainder of the week. Dry and cold weather is expected for the weekend. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were mostly clear. The prevailing visibility was 8 miles.
