Temperatures overnight ranged from the upper teens into the 20s across the interior, but in the low 30s elsewhere. A significant noreaster is poised to make its way toward New England today. Low pressure will move off the Carolina coast this afternoon then head toward southern New England through Saturday morning. Ahead of the storm center, light snow will develop across the interior late this morning, with rain developing along the south coast. As the storm deepens later today, precipitation will become heavy across the region. Significant amounts of snow will fall across southwest New Hampshire and northwest and northern Massachusetts, with white out conditions probable. This noreaster will have a long life as it will continue into Saturday. Meanwhile, stiff northeast winds will be factor for east coastal locations, as well as minor coastal flooding. For marine interests, on the open waters, along with the winds will be the high seas.
