It was another mild night for late February, with temperatures in the 30s inland to lower 40s at the coast. The low clouds and fog should dissipate by mid morning with skies becoming partly to mostly sunny. The region will have another unseasonably warm February day as southerly winds push temperatures near 60 degrees. Temperatures for south facing coastal locations will be in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Clouds will increase again early tonight as low pressure moves from the Ohio valley across the Great Lakes and into southeastern Canada. A cold front trailing the low will reach reach western New England around daybreak Wednesday and move off the New England coast Wednesday afternoon. Showers are expected to spread from west to east across New England during the overnight hours, and persist into Wednesday morning. Another mild night is forecast with temperatures in the upper 30s to middle 40s. Showers will taper off Wednesday afternoon, but could turn to a brief period of snow inland before diminishing.
