This allowed temperatures to drop and locally dense fog to form. Visibilities were reduced to less than one half mile over Cape Cod and the islands, southern Rhode Island, and at Worcester Massachusetts and Windsor Locks Connecticut. Early morning temperatures ranged from the lower 30s at some interior spots to the lower 40s along the coast. As low pressure moves from the Ohio valley this morning to east of Cape Cod by this evening, a cloudy dreary day is in store. Rain will be developing over Connecticut and western Massachusetts in the mid morning hours, then over the rest of southern New England around noon. Mild temperatures in the 40s will aid in more melting of any remaining snow cover. By this evening, the rain will end, possibly as a very brief period of snow, especially in southern New Hampshire and northeast Massachusetts. Clouds will begin to break up late at night. It will become brisk along coastal areas. High pressure will then control our weather from Friday through the weekend. Mostly sunny days, clear nights, and mild temperatures can be expected. === The weather observed at WORCESTER at 08:13 AM EST was: === The weather reported was fog. The skies were partly cloudy.
