Clouds lingered over southern New England during the first part of the night, but began to break up after midnight. Another storm stayed well offshore to the south, but high clouds managed to brush Marthas Vineyard and Nantucket late at night. To the west, high pressure brought fair cool weather to the Great Lakes and Ohio valley. Lingering low level moisture and cold air aloft will result in some cloudiness today, especially in southern New Hampshire and western Massachusetts. With high pressure building across New England we can expect dry weather with the coolest temperatures today and tonight, followed by milder weather on Sunday and Monday.
