Temperatures early this morning ranged from around 10 degrees at rural or sheltered locations, to around 20 degrees in urban areas across interior New England, to as high as 35 degrees across portions of Cape Cod and the islands. High pressure dominated the weather of the east coast, and should continue to do so into early Wednesday. As winds become more from the south today, a return to above normal temperatures is expected. A developing low pressure was found over western Oklahoma. This low pressure is forecast to intensify and arrive in the Great Lakes region Wednesday morning. With an abundance of moisture to work with, this low pressure should bring clouds to southern New England tonight. Rain could reach western areas of southern New England by early afternoon on Wednesday, and spread over the rest of our area Wednesday night. Some widely scattered showers will linger behind the associated cold front on Thursday, as the low lingers over northern Vermont. === The weather observed at WORCESTER at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were clear.
