The precipitation will taper off shortly after daybreak, with snow accumulations of one or two inches, mainly confined to colder surfaces. As the storm continues to intensify this morning, north winds will increase to 30 to 40 mph with a few gusts to 50 mph until 10 am across Cape Cod and Nantucket. Winds will diminish this afternoon as the storm exits into the Atlantic. A ridge of high pressure will then build over New England, with sunshine developing today from west to east.
