Temperatures at 4 am ranged from 23 degrees at Hyannis, and 25 degrees at Keene and Willimantic, to 39 degrees at Block Island. Clouds will continue to lower and thicken this morning, with some snow showers moving into northwestern sections. The precipitation will change to rain by this afternoon, and gradually spread into southeastern parts of the area. Temperatures will peak in the upper 30s and mid 40s. Any rain across Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts will end by midnight. Otherwise, tonight will be mostly cloudy, with some patchy fog across southeastern sections. Lows will be in the low to mid 30s. Another chance of rain is in store Wednesday into Wednesday night, as low pressure moves off the mid Atlantic coast and out to sea. Highs Wednesday will be in the upper 40s to low 50s, with lows Wednesday night generally from 35 to 40.
