Temperatures have fallen into to 30s across the interior and were hovering around 40 along the shore. Low pressure departing the Canadian Maritimes today will continue a brisk westerly wind across the region along with partly sunny skies. It will be mild with temperatures well above seasonal normals. The mercury will rise through the 40s in most locations. Tonight will feature partly cloudy skies and seasonably cold temperatures with lows generally in the 20s to lower 30s, except the teens across the colder interior valleys. Weak low pressure is due to form along a stalled out cold front near the mid Atlantic coast Friday then move swiftly northeast passing south of Nantucket in the afternoon. This storm will produce cloudy skies across the region but most of the precipitation with this system should remain offshore. Temperatures on Friday will again be seasonably mild, with highs in the 40s.
