A persistent onshore flow from the east and southeast have held temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s. A warm front will move north across the region today. Morning low clouds and fog will give way to developing sunshine, with coastal areas likely the last locations to clear. Temperatures will warm into the 60s inland and reach the 50s along the shore. A strong cold front will approach the region tonight preceded by gusty south winds and periods of showers, some may be locally heavy at times after midnight. The front will move through the Connecticut valley just after daybreak, and clear east coastal Massachusetts before noon. Showers and fog ahead of the front will quickly give way to clearing as the front moves to the east during Sunday morning and early afternoon. Gusty west to northwest winds will follow the front ushering in colder air. High temperatures will likely occur early Sunday morning, with temperatures falling through the 40s Sunday afternoon. High pressure will build into the mid Atlantic on Monday providing the region with diminishing winds and seasonable temperatures under partly sunny skies. === The weather observed at WORCESTER at 07:54 AM EST was: === The weather reported was fog.
