Temperatures prior to daybreak ranged from 15 to 20 degrees across southwest New Hampshire, to the 30s across much of Cape Cod and southern Rhode Island. Two low pressure systems will come close to our region today. The first one, crossing through the northern Great Lakes region early this morning, will move eastward towards Maine today, and offshore tonight. The second low was centered over the Carolinas early this morning. This low will move northeast off the mid Atlantic coast today and move further offshore tonight. This southern system is expected to bring some light precipitation to our region this afternoon and evening, mainly across southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The two storm systems will head toward the Canadian Maritimes tonight. Fair weather high pressure will follow for Friday and Saturday. Our next chance for precipitation will not arrive until Sunday, when a low pressure system is forecast to track through our area.
