Temperatures across coastal portions of York county in Maine as well as coastal sections of New Hampshire were in the lower 30s at 3 am. Otherwise, it was in the 20s everywhere. Our winds were light and variable. A strong disturbance in the upper atmosphere will be developing over the northeast this afternoon and tonight. As a result we should see clouds on the increase today with maybe a chance of flurries or sprinkles. There is a chance of snow showers tonight. That chance of snow showers, or possible rain, will continue into Saturday. Then the disturbance in the upper atmosphere will move east late in the day Saturday and, as a result, you can expect some clearing to occur at that time. Clearing conditions and light winds Saturday night will set us up for good radiational cooling and a chilly April night. Our temperatures will begin to rebound on Sunday as warmer air moves into the region. However, with the warmer air returning we will also have an increase in relative humidity which will result in increasing clouds on Sunday. === The weather observed at WHITEFIELD at 08:04 AM EST was: === The skies were mostly clear.
