Scattered rainfall amounts of 0.10 to 0.40 occurred with these showers and thunderstorms. At daybreak, skies had cleared across all but the outer Cape and Nantucket island but will do so by 7 am. Occasionally gusty northwest winds have dropped temperatures into the 30s in many locations. High pressure will settle in across New England during the next two days providing fair weather and seasonably chilly temperatures. Daytime highs will have a hard time making it beyond the upper 30s to mid and upper 40s, with nighttime lows in the teens and twenties.
