At 3 am Doppler radar showed large holes in the precipitation pattern over southern New Hampshire. Temperatures were in the lower to mid 40s across the southern half of New Hampshire at 3 o'clock. It was in the 30s elsewhere. Winds were light and southerly. Dryer and cooler weather is headed our way for the end of the week. But first unsettled weather will be around our two states today as a slow moving cold front moves through New England. The steady rain will taper to showers this morning. Then we will have occasional rain showers for the rest of the day. Rain showers will linger in eastern and central sections during the evening hours today. Snow showers can be expected in the mountains and northern sections as colder air pushes in after the passage of that cold front. Elsewhere our skies will become partly cloudy. Then you can look for sunny and breezy weather conditions on Thursday as that low pressure center intensifies while moving through the Canadian Maritimes. High pressure will dominate our weather as it slowly moves through New England until Monday when a fast moving cold front brings some precipitation back to the area. High pressure will return on Tuesday to bring fair weather back to Maine and New Hampshire. === The weather observed at WHITEFIELD at 07:52 AM EST was: === The weather reported was fog.
