It was clear and cold across southern New England last night. At 4 am,
temperatures ranged from 9 degrees in Keene New Hampshire, to 27 degrees at
provincetown Massachusetts. There will be more sunshine today along with brisk
west to northwest winds. Highs will reach into the mid and upper 30s. A storm
moving across the southeast states will bring an increase in cloudiness
tonight and Thursday across the region. There could even be some flurries late
Thursday over the Cape and islands, as the storm moves off the coast of the
Carolinas and out to sea. Temperatures tonight will fall into the teens and
20s, with highs Thursday again in the 30s. Very cold air will settle into the
area Friday.
