LENTEN ART EXHIBIT: Each year the Religion & the Arts Committee commissions
artists from the congregation to create original artistic interpretations of
a spiritual text associated with Lent. This year lyrics from the choral
requiem Lux Aeterna by Morten Lauridsen will be performed by the Old South
Choir, with a complementary visual offering. The exhibit will be on display
for 2-3 weeks prior to Easter. The project requires the preparation of a
visual work—written work (poetry or prose enlarged for visual presentation)
or a work of art (painting, drawing, quilt or fabric art, watercolor, or
photograph) that can be mounted onto foam core. Contact Tom Keydel at
617/983-3078 or by e-mail at <tmkdirect@aol.com>.
